Work experience

  • Was employed as a labor lawyer by the firms Brigard Urrutia Abogados (1997) and Godoy Córdoba Abogados (1997-1999), and served as general proxy on labor issues for CODENSA S.A. ESP (1999-2004).
  • He then went on to start his own independent practice as a labor lawyer, through which he has tended to multiple industries, including the Oil, Petrochemical, and International Cooperation sectors.
  • University professor since 1997 in several universities around the country and, uninterruptedly, in both Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Javeriana.
  • Author of multiple publications in his area of legal practice.

Awards

  • Ranked, since 2015 and to this day, in labor practice for Colombia by Chambers Latin America.
  • Former governor of the Bar Association Specializing in Labor Law and Social Security 2009 – 2010, of which he was also deputy governor (2004-2005) and member of the Board of Trustees on multiple occasions.
  • Arbitrator of the Juridical Arbitration Tribunal ECOPETROL – USO (2004).
  • Member of the Advisory Council of the Actualidad Laboral (Labor News) Magazine from Legis Editorial since 2001.
  • He was awarded the Adán Arriaga Andrade Golden Medal, the highest recognition given by the Bar Association Specializing in Labor Law and Social Security.
